E-Safety

The safety of our children is something that we should all be concerned with and this has been recognised by the inclusion of "safe and secure" in the governments Every Child Matters Agenda.

Every teacher has the "duty to care" enshrined in their contract and in a similar way all employers have a duty to care for thier staff.

In schools this duty is applied throughout school life but sadly, is ofen overlooked when pupils use the internet in lessons etc - often no risk assessment is carried out for this activity.

Kyme Consutlants can provide advice and training for staff, pupils and parents in the area of e-safety and can carry out a health check for schools to ensure that they are fulfilling their duty to care obligation in this area.

Advice can also be given to businesses to help them assess the risks posed to their staff.

I have been a member of the Home Office education sub-committee for e-safety, I am also an approved trainer and ambassador for CEOP, enalbling me to deliver their ThinkuKnow courses to pupils and to train teachers to deliver these courses in the future.
